In a bunker against bunker mentality: “How does sustainable construction begin?”,
asked Caspar Schmitz-Morkramer on Wednesday together with and in the “Architekturgalerie München” in the “BUNKER”, with Werner Sobeks sustainability director Stefanie Weidner (1st photo; 2nd from left) as well as with Jeanne-Marie Ehbauer, Munich’s soon-to-be building consultant (left).
Host Nicola Borgmann moderated together with junior architect Johannes Daiberl (right). Stefanie Weidner and Caspar Schmitz-Morkramer briefly presented their books “non nobis – über das Bauen in der Zukunft, Band I” as well as “Der Nachhalt Band I”, which complement each other wonderfully. Their respective titles, after all, (“One has to start from what is” and “Prologue”) already make clear that – as strange as it sounds in the middle of the year 2022 – we first have to define the starting points in order to find means and ways to a truly sustainable construction from there.
